The Interdependence of All Things

From the blog "Reflections from Another Dimension" by Theodore, channeled by Gina Lake

You are entirely unique, and this uniqueness serves Creation. Everyone is equally valuable within creation because of this uniqueness. Everyone has their part to play, and everyone's part is needed. Everyone has a life purpose, but no one's life purpose is more important than another's because everyone needs everyone else in order to be able to exist and do their life purpose. The president of the United States, or anyone else you assume has an important life purpose, couldn't do what he or she does without the food and other necessities needed to survive. Without someone making and shipping the computers, automobiles, and other supplies, picking up the garbage, and doing all of the seemingly unimportant and mundane tasks, businesses and families could not survive. You depend on everyone else for all the goods and services you need to do what you do.

When you contemplate your interconnectedness and interdependence with everything, you begin to see what a marvelous and amazing Intelligence must exist behind it all to provide so well for itself, for the Whole. How amazingly well everything functions to support the Whole! Yes, there are times when functioning breaks down, but even this is only temporary before a rebalancing takes place. A natural breaking down and reorganization happens periodically, which is not wrong or bad, as the ego might see it, but a normal part of the evolution of humanity and of society. Even when a breakdown occurs because of negative choices on the part of egos, such as war, an eventual rebalancing occurs and, more importantly, learning that will hopefully prevent it from happening again.

When you begin to see how well you are taken care of within existence, then you can begin to trust life more. The egoic mind has a tendency to focus on what it feels is lacking and what it wants more of, but the truth is that you are existing just fine now in this moment. Life has supported you so far-you are here. It is valuable to acknowledge the many ways that life (through others, through your own efforts, and through society) has taken care of you, especially when you are feeling afraid or unsupported.

The ego naturally fears life. It doesn't see this interconnectedness. It feels separate and alone, and that is where the fear comes from. The truth, however, is that you are not separate and alone but rather part of a larger Whole within which you function. This Whole adjusts itself to take care of all that exists within it. Sometimes the adjustments take a while, but support eventually manifests as needed. It is possible to learn to trust this completely rather than to trust the ego's fears and worries. When you begin to trust the Whole to take care of itself and you discover just how trustworthy it is. But that is the catch, isn't it? It does take somewhat of a leap of faith.

The other option-distrusting life-has its cost, however. When you distrust life, you often make choices that are out of alignment with it (e.g. You might choose security, which is a favorite choice of the ego, over what makes your heart sing), and then you find yourself unhappy. The good news is that life has a built-in correction mechanism: suffering. Not being happy is a call to discover what makes you happy. What is the other choice? To stay unhappy. You are meant to be happy and to do what makes you happy. You discover this by following your inner joy rather than doing what makes you unhappy. This is a simple enough prescription. The only thing that can interfere with following this prescription for happiness is fear. Fortunately, fear is just a negative thought about the future, which has no validity or value. So, there is no reason not to follow your Heart and every reason to.
